FIGHT FEAR.
Fear of taking action can disguise itself as caution, preparation, or waiting for certainty. This month, we confront it.
THE CHALLENGE: CROSS THE JORDAN.

COURAGE IS NOT CERTAINTY.
If you wait until there is nothing left to fear, you may wait forever.
Joshua stood at the edge of a responsibility larger than himself. Moses was gone. Israel still had to move. God’s command in Joshua 1 was not a promise that Joshua would feel no fear; it was a call to strength and courage as he obeyed.
Christian courage is not recklessness. We pray. We seek wise counsel. We count the cost. We prepare. But there comes a point when more preparation is no longer preparation. It is standing on the bank.

CROSS THE JORDAN.
The Jordan was not an abstract metaphor for Joshua and Israel. It was the barrier in front of them. God gave direction, but they still had to move their feet.
PREPARE.
Determine the first responsible action. Pray, seek counsel, and count the cost.
CROSS.
Take that action before September 30. Put your foot in the water.
THE QUESTION
WHAT IS YOUR JORDAN?
The thing on the other side may be difficult. Staying where fear put you has a cost too.
Maybe it is a conversation you keep avoiding. A responsibility you know you need to accept. A business you have prepared to start but never tested. An apology. A decision. Asking for help. Ending a destructive habit. Taking the next faithful step does not guarantee the outcome you want. It does mean fear no longer gets the final vote.
REMEMBER
DON’T FORGET WHAT GOD BROUGHT YOU THROUGH.

There is a pattern worth remembering: fear, faith, action, remembrance, testimony. When you cross your Jordan, remember it. The next time fear tells you to stay on the bank, you will have a story about what happened when you moved in faith.
